Housing Access Peterborough manages the centralized waiting list for subsidized housing in the City and County of Peterborough. Subsidized housing, or Rent-Geared-to-Income (RGI) rental units, are funded by government programs and allow eligible tenants to pay reduced rental rates based on their household’s annual income.
We do this by maintaining the waiting list of people interested in Rent-Geared-to-Income (RGI) housing, and providing housing opportunities to people when they reach the top of that list. The waiting list is processed in chronological order, and calls are made to applicants as vacancies arise.
The “one stop shopping” allows applicants to apply to more than one housing provider by completing only one application form for Rent-Geared-to-Income (RGI) assistance. The staff of Housing Access Peterborough is pleased to assist applicants in making selections for “area of preference” and will review housing mandates and eligibility criteria with applicants upon request.
Housing Access Peterborough aspires to provide the coordinated access services for rent-geared-to-income housing and related housing programs in Peterborough City and County in a manner that will foster the well being of applicants with respect to housing including cooperation and referrals with related service agencies and housing providers.

Housing Access Peterborough Fillable Forms Many of our forms are now fillable on-line. If you have access to a printer, you can complete many of our forms on the website and then print them off to submit to us. Or you can save them to a USB stick and print them at another location. This will hopefully make things quicker for you, the applicant, and make it easier for us to decipher your handwriting meaning fewer errors. We hope you find this helpful. |

Annual Updates - Fill and Submit Online The Annual Updates for RGI Housing are now available as a fillable form on our website. You no longer need to print and sign them, although you may still need to submit documentation such as verification of custody, pregnancy, etc (however you can scan these or even send us a picture) All you need to do now is type the information into the form and press the "Submit Now" button at the bottom and it will send it to us from your email program. Depending on the type of email program you use, you may need to save the completed document to your desktop and then send it to us via an attachment If we have your email on file, effective immediatly, this is how you will receive your annual update; so please ensure it is accurate. If you have not provided us with your email, please contact the office to have it added to your file. |
