Please do not visit our office if you are sick, have a fever, cough, shortness of breath.

Please do not visit if you have travelled outside of Ontario and have not self-quarantined for 14 days.

Please wear a mask (if you forget or don’t have one, we have some available).

Please use hand sanitizer provided upon arrival and before leaving and anytime you need to touch your face or mask.

Please come alone (young children accepted). At this time, we are not allowed to have a waiting room.

Follow the social distancing footprints 6ft. apart.

Please be on time for your appointment and be aware that a short wait could be possible. We will do our very best to be on time and not keep you waiting.

Our meeting rooms will be sanitized before and after each visitor.

The following payment options are available:

  • Online banking (including telephone app)
  • Telephone banking
  • In bank branch
  • ATM Banking Machine
  • Pre-Authorized Payment (Please telephone the office to arrange)
  • Cheque or Money Order (place in the drop box at 526 McDonnel Street)
  • OW/ODSP recipients – arrange for pay direct with your worker

For the first 4 options, you will need your 8 digit tenant code that begins with either a “b” or “t”.

If you have requested a Rent Receipt, it has been mailed as of March 16, 2020.

Please contact our Customer Service Representatives by phone or e-mail to request your copy and it can be mailed or e-mailed to you.

526 McDonnel Street - Parking Lot Entrance

The driveway entrance from McDonnel Street will be blocked off for several days beginning Monday, August 26, 2019 for construction on our McRae project.

Entry to the parking lot and office can still be accessed from Bonaccord Street, although parking may be limited during this time.

The accessible entrance should not be affected, but if you can always contact the office ahead of your visit to confirm access details.

Timelines may change due to weather conditions and/or unforseen site issues.


Phone and Online Scams

Peterborough Housing Corporation reminds residents to always use extreme caution when providing personal information either over the phone or computer to someone you do not know.

Scams are changing and evolving everyday with fraudsters devising new and more sophisticated methods to scam people out of money and/or steal their identity.

We remind residents to always stop, pause and think before providing any personal information to someone when you have not confirmed their identity.

When in doubt hang up, call a trusted friend or family member, call your bank or call police.

To report a scam where you have handed over money or personal information please call the Peterborough Police Service at 705-876-1122 or report it online. To report a scam phone call where you have not lost money or handed over personal information please call the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre toll free at 1-888-495-8501  or via their online fraud reporting system.

You may have recently received an "N2 - Notice of Rent Increase" from our office.

This document is for your information only, and indicates what the Market Rent for your unit is set at, based on the Rent Increase Guideline set by the Ministry of Housing.

Your subsidized rent is not changing, unless your Household Income or Family Composition changes.

 New Playground at 835 Cameron Street

Terri Lynn Johnston, from the Recreation Department at the City of Peterborough, addressed the crowd with great enthusiasm on a sunny afternoon on Friday, June 8th, at the new playground built next to 835 Cameron through the broad support of the community. Peterborough Mayor Daryl Bennett, Residents of 835 Cameron, community residents, Lions Club members, Peterborough Housing staff, a local Mercedes dealership owner, Grace United Church parishioners, City staff, and elected officials gathered at the new playground for a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate it's opening and to recognize the various forms of support that came together to see it built. And the happiest of all... were the children.

 572 Crystal Drive - Sunshine Homes

As of September 21st, 2017, the Peterborough Housing Corporation (PHC) took over the property management services for the Sunshine Homes Non Profit Inc. (Sunshine Homes). On February 1st, 2018, the ownership of the Sunshine Homes property was transferred to PHC along with all responsibilities of tenancies, maintenance, and capital repairs.  

As of June 1st, 2018, Denise Campbell is pleased to be the Resident Services Manager at 572 Crystal Drive. Denise is responsible for a wide range of management duties including dealing with tenancy matters, developing strategies for positive staff-tenancy interactions, and creating an environment that encourages tenant engagement and community development.
