Partnerships
PHC recognizes that we can’t do our work alone. We exist as an important part of a broader system of social services that must work together to meet the needs of those within our community. We are committed to continue a long tradition of building strong, trusting, and transparent relationships with our many community partners
Pioneering Housing Partnerships
Partnerships with community organizations have led to the development of innovative housing initiatives that provide wraparound services for residents
Our most recent project is an 85-unit supportive seniors’ housing initiative in partnership with Peterborough Regional Health Centre, the Central East LHIN, and the Peterborough Family Health Team. A mix of rent geared to income and market units will be available for medically fragile seniors who are too frail to live alone but not yet ready for long-term care. Health providers will deliver coordinated medical supports, such as personal support workers, to enable seniors in this building to age well in the comfort of their own home.
A new housing community in Havelock will combine seniors housing with a community service hub. Housing offered in this building will be a mix of rent geared to income and affordable units. Community Care Peterborough and VON are creating a community hub of social services to support the seniors living on site, as well as residents of the community who require better access to service.
